... zu einer kleinen Insel im Rhein gebracht, die Nonnenwerth heißt und wo sie aufs Internat gegangen war.

... and managed that one of the nuns showed us the beautiful place today. The tree on the right picture is a plane-tree, which was planted by the composer Franz Liszt.

Sie hat es geschafft, dass uns eine Nonne heute herumgeführt hat. Die Platane auf dem Bild rechts hat der Komponist Franz Liszt gepflanzt.

In the museum of the monastery were the most beautiful handwritten books.
Im Museum des Klosters gab es wunderbare handgeschriebene Bücher.

We climbed to the Rolandsbogen, saw a volcano and strolled along the Rhine. It was absolutely beautiful.

Wir sind auf einen Berg gestiegen, das Rolandseck, an einem Vulkan vorbei und am Rhein entlanggelaufen.

And there's much more. We visited the Arp Museum, designed by Richard Meier. I have to admit that we liked the building more than the exhibitions, but had a great time anyway.

Und es gibt noch viel mehr. Wir haben das Arp Museum besucht, das Richard Meier entworfen hat. Ich muss gestehen, dass uns das Gebäude besser gefallen hat als die Ausstellungen, aber wir hatten trotzdem eine tolle Zeit.

What I didn't even mention: a delicious lunch at a Spanish restaurant at the Rhine side, cheese cake and chai latte in the absolutely astonishing old station building and lots of relaxed talking.

Was ich noch nicht einmal erwähnt habe: ein köstliche Mittagessen bei einem Spanier am Rheinufer, Käsekuchen und Chai Latte in dem absolut erstaunlichen alten Bahnhofsgebäude und jede Menge guter Gespräche.
